Project Animation
The purpose of the video is to aid in the understanding of the complex morphological process that occurs during the development of the human heart. This video looks into detail about a particular process involved in formation of the heart tube between post- conception day 18 - day 22 (middle of 3rd week) of embryological development. This process is known as Lateral Folding of the embryo.
It aims to demonstrate a hard to visualise embryological process which aids in the development of the human heart.
3D Models of the Developing Heart
The purpose of these 3D models is to demonstrate the process of cardiac looping which takes place after the formation of a single endocardial tube, sitting inside the pericardial cavity and the cardiac region being located in the thorax as demonstrated in the animated video. This process takes place between post conception day 23 - day 28 of embryological development.
These models aim to demonstrate the process of cardiac looping which is hard to visualise using only 2D diagrams. These models provide the user freedom to rotate and view the heart development at different stages, from different angles, at their own pace.

Animated 3D Model
The purpose of this animated 3D model is to enhance understanding about the cardiac looping process. Developing a deeper understand of this process can help in clinical correlation of congenital disorders involving the cardiovascular system.
The animated model allows the user to understand the development on their own pace. This provides more control to the user and they can choose different angles to visualise any stage of development. It aims to provide deeper visualisation than the static 3D models.

Cardiac Looping Animation
The purpose of this turntable animation is to demonstrate the cardiac looping process from day 22 - day 28 using different colour codes for different parts of the developing heart. This animation has been created as an additional resource along with the 3D models to demonstrate the process of heart development in real time, to enhance understanding of the cardiac looping process.
